In October of 2024, demolition of 23 homes/apartments/buildings began in Kansas City between 33rd and 35th from Pennsylvania to Southwest Trafficway in the Valentine neighborhood. The Kansas City Life Insurance Company planned to demolish 23 properties between 33rd to 35th Street from Southwest Trafficway to Pennsylvania for redevelopment...without a plan for replacing them.
